Reviews and Ratings
This hostel offers a very pleasant stay with a fantastic location on Giudecca Island, making it easy to access central San Marco. The views from the hostel are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is lively with great evening events. However, it could benefit from a kitchen and better bathroom availability on some floors.
I had a mostly enjoyable stay with a few minor hiccups. The hostel has a modern feel and comfortable communal areas, making it a great spot to meet fellow travelers. While the room was generally fine, the lack of complete privacy in the bathrooms and some service issues detracted from the experience. Overall, I would recommend it for its value and pleasant atmosphere.
Staying at Generator Hostel in Venice was a lovely experience overall. The location is very convenient, being just a short ferry ride away from the main attractions. The hostel itself is modern and clean, but I did find the noise from other guests a bit disruptive during the night. Also, while the bar had a great atmosphere, I was slightly disappointed with the breakfast options for the cost. Still, it's a great place to meet fellow travelers.
I had a mixed experience at the hostel. On one hand, it's clean with a nice breakfast spread and the common areas are well-designed, but I faced issues with noise levels and some quirks in the facilities. The location on Giudecca, while a bit far from the main train station, offers easy access to the water taxis. Overall, I might come back, but there are definitely some drawbacks to consider.
The hostel is clean with great communal areas, and while it’s quiet, it’s conveniently just a few stops away from St Mark's Square via vaporetto. However, it lacks a communal kitchen which makes meals more expensive, and my experience was marred when some of my belongings were taken without proper follow-up from the staff. Overall, it's decent but not without serious downsides.
